Gassonic 1701 Test and Calibration Hand Held
Acoustic Gas Leak Detection (AGLD)The GASSONIC 1701 is a portable test and calibration unit used to verify the operation and, if necessary, calibrate the GASSONIC Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detectors (UGLD).
Description
Introducing the Gassonic 1701 Test and Calibration Handheld, a portable unit designed to verify the operation and calibrate select Gassonic ultrasonic gas leak detectors.
While Gassonic detectors generally do not require regular maintenance, the Gassonic 1701 is a valuable tool for fulfilling plant maintenance requirements. Unlike traditional methods, this handheld unit eliminates the need for calibration gas during functionality testing. It requires no electrical connection to the gas leak detector and is placed over the sensor head.
The Gassonic 1701 Test and Calibration Handheld generates an amplitude sweep of band-limited white noise through a water-resistant piezo loudspeaker to simulate the distinctive ultrasound emitted by pressurised gas leaks. When the gas leak detector detects this noise, an optical link within the Gassonic 1701 interacts with the detector, initiating the test and calibration sequence.
Test Function
The Gassonic 1701 features a test function for regular testing of Gassonic detectors. In test mode, the 1701 Test and Calibration Handheld emits a constant calibrated sound that the ultrasonic gas leak detector responds to. On the Gassonic Observer, the sound level emitted from the 1701 is displayed on the detector’s screen. The Gassonic Surveyor’s sound level is displayed on the Gassonic 1701 itself.
Calibration Function
Onsite Gassonic Observer and Gassonic Surveyor recalibration is possible with the Gassonic 1701. During calibration, the handheld unit emits a series of ultrasonic sound levels at different amplitudes. It then automatically performs zero and span calibration of the detector. It is recommended to calibrate the Gassonic detectors only when the test function indicates that the detector’s accuracy is outside its specifications.
Delay Test Function
The delay test function allows testing of Gassonic ultrasonic gas leak detectors after installation with either the built-in delay function or an external delay function enabled. During this test, the Gassonic 1701 emits a constant sound level, allowing the users to verify the complete signal transmission from the detector head into the fire and gas panel or the DCS system.
Experience portable testing and calibration with the Gassonic 1701 Handheld Unit. Enjoy the convenience of functionality verification and calibration without needing calibration gas. Trust in Gassonic’s commitment to excellence and safety to support your gas leak detection requirements.
